Third Nature
Theory
The first five farms

Radical Honesty · From farm to shelf

Your next meal.
A better beginning.

The ambition is larger than a premium product. Instead of adding another product to the supplement stack, put your money toward a future where feeling good starts with food. This purchase concept is one way to help investigate that possibility.

Third Nature Theory begins from an optimistic belief: given honest information and a practical way to act, people will use their choices well. What if the food on your shelf helped an independent farmer take a step they could not afford alone?

Initial funding would help the first five farms begin before products launch. Later purchases could help fund continued changes, testing and the knowledge that makes the next farm’s journey easier.

A relationship beyond the checkout

Your place at the table.

Your experience, questions and skills can help shape the work. Get to know the people growing your food, tell us what works for your household and choose how involved you want to be.

Explore the concept and prepare a message. Drafts stay on this page until you choose to email them. Map searches open Google Maps; reviews and wearable readings are previews.

Food has neighbours.

Local discovery

Find producers near you. Visit a farm shop, follow the season on Instagram and start a relationship with the people behind your food.

Opens Google Maps. Search results are local businesses, not confirmed TNT partners. Check each farm’s products, hours and visiting arrangements.

Follow the people, not just the product.

Find a producer’s Instagram through its own website. Our planned TNT farm map will bring together verified farm locations, Instagram links, products and progress updates as farms join.

Have an idea, a useful skill or a local introduction? Offer it to the network. Farmers would choose the support they want; TNT would help organise introductions and questions around their working day.

No farm has been assigned to this product yet. A live farm page would name the people, the harvest and the work your purchase supports.

Useful reviews. Honest feedback.

No reviews yet

Did it taste good? Was it worth the price? Did your family eat it? These experiences matter alongside the research.

Have thoughts on the idea before products launch? Send feedback on the programme. The product review below is a preview.

Try a draft for the concept jar. It is a temporary preview; nothing is submitted or saved by TNT. Please leave out names and personal health information.

Your experience

What would make live reviews trustworthy?

Separate taste and value from health claims. Label verified purchases only after checking a real order. Disclose free products or other incentives, and apply the same moderation rules to positive and negative feedback. Reviews describe experiences; they do not establish health effects.

Public submissions are not open in this pre-pilot concept.

Bring your curiosity. Bring what you know.

Optional participation

A good question, a candid report or an hour of useful expertise can help the whole network learn. Choose what interests you; there is no obligation to buy or take part.

Test & report

Express interest in tastings, cooking diaries or future researcher-led studies. Tell us what fits your life, what costs too much and what deserves a closer look.

Share a skill or an idea

Food science, farming, cooking, logistics, design or community organising: suggest something useful, offer expertise or introduce someone who could help.

What would participation involve?

Each opportunity would explain the question, activities, time, any costs or compensation, how information is used and what gets published. You would decide separately whether to join and could decline without affecting your purchases.

Any study involving health measurements or biological samples would need an appropriate research team, review and specific consent before recruitment. An interest email is not study enrolment. There are no studies open on this page.

Prepare an email to hello@thirdnaturetheory.org. Please leave out health readings, medical history and other people’s private details. Nothing is sent until you send it in your email app.

Your data. Your choice.

WHOOP not connected

A future WHOOP connection could put your sleep and recovery trends beside your food journal, helping you ask more informed questions about your routines. Connecting would always be optional.

Proposed WHOOP integration · Partnership pending. No partnership is confirmed and no live connection is available here.

Explore the choices and fictional readings below without sharing health data. You would choose separately whether any data could be used in research.

Explore the proposed permissions
  • Sleep: sleep duration and related sleep measures.
  • Recovery: recovery score, heart-rate variability and resting heart rate.

You would choose whether to connect through WHOOP’s own consent screen. Access would be limited to the features you choose. You could disconnect and request deletion of the imported data.

Wearable data would be private, separate from public reviews. Joining a research study would require a separate, explicit decision.

WHOOP’s connection documentation ↗

You would not need a wearable, a premium purchase or health-data sharing to read the public findings.

Why be here at the beginning?

Give good intentions somewhere honest to go.

Changing a farm takes time and money before the results are certain. If you have room in your budget, your early support could become practical room to try, learn and improve. The aim is for that private choice to create public value: clear findings, a lower-risk path for the next farm and, over time, better options for more households.

Behind a simple choice may sit complicated testing, logistics, records and payments. Technology should carry that complexity for you—without hiding it from you—so participation can remain human: understand the food, choose what matters and see where your money went.

  1. Keep the farmer in control.Help fund a transition while ownership of the farm stays with the farmer.
  2. Make one farm’s lesson travel.Five farms compare progress and setbacks, building guidance the next farms can use.
  3. Ask better questions about food.Support useful tests, public results and scrutiny of what actually changes. Help fund knowledge people can use even if they never buy this jar.

Follow the whole price

The food. The costs. The extra you fund.

$12 food & route to market
+ $12.00 transition premium
$24.00

Illustrative allocation, not a costed offer. Actual amounts, recipients and any margin, tax or separate delivery charge would be shown before purchase.

What the $12 food price would cover

The $12 base is a placeholder; these individual amounts are not yet costed. Each would be itemised before a real product goes on sale.

How the transition premium could be used

Illustrative split: two-thirds of the premium to transition, one-quarter to testing and the remainder to TNT. Values are rounded to cents. These assumptions do not establish a viable price or enough funding for a farm’s transition.

Example total: $24.00, including a $12.00 premium.

What am I paying for before the evidence is complete?

Food plus the work of transition and learning. The ambition is a healthier food system; this product has no demonstrated nutritional superiority or personal health benefit. We would publish results even when they disappoint.

What if a premium does not fit my budget?

You would be able to use the published findings without buying this product. We want the work to help families compare useful differences, costs and preparation time. Lower prices are a goal to test; they are not guaranteed. The project’s wider ambition ↗

Is this a donation or an investment?

It would be a food purchase from a for-profit programme, with a disclosed premium. It is not a charitable donation or an investment offering a financial return.
